1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you download or play Chitin: Idle Insect RPG ("the Game"), developed by an independent developer ("we", "us"). By playing the Game you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not play.
2. Your account
You can play without signing in. Online features such as cloud saves, the Arena, raids and events require signing in with Google Play Games. You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your device and Google account secure.
3. Licence to play
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the Game for your own non-commercial entertainment. The Game, including its art, insects, names, text, music and code, belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy, sell, reverse engineer or redistribute it, except where the law expressly allows.
4. Virtual items and purchases
- The Game contains virtual currencies and items (for example shards, eggs, cosmetics and boosts). These have no real-world value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be sold or transferred to other players or outside the Game.
- What you buy is a licence to use those items inside the Game. You do not own them.
- All purchases are processed by Google Play under Google Play's terms. Refunds are handled by Google Play's refund policy, except where your local consumer law gives you further rights.
- Promo codes and rewards may be limited in time or quantity, and can be withdrawn if obtained through a bug or misuse.
5. Fair play
You agree not to:
- Cheat, use modified versions of the Game, bots, or tools that automate play or change game data.
- Exploit bugs for an advantage instead of reporting them.
- Manipulate the device clock or network traffic to gain rewards.
- Use more than one account to gain an advantage in the Arena, raids or events.
- Choose a nickname that is offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonates someone else, or contains personal information.
- Harass other players or abuse the report system.
If you break these rules we may, depending on how serious it is, reset or remove progress, trophies, rewards or items gained unfairly, remove your nickname, or suspend or ban your account from online features.
6. Multiplayer
In the Arena, other players fight copies of the teams you set, and can see your nickname, profile picture, trophies and titles. Matchmaking, rewards, weekly rules and leaderboards may change as the Game is balanced.
7. Changes and availability
The Game is a live service. We may update, rebalance, add or remove content and features at any time, including game values, drop rates, events and rewards. We try to keep the Game running but do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may end the Game or its online features in the future; if we do, we will give notice in the Game where reasonably possible.
8. Saves and progress
We keep backups of your progress to help recover lost saves, but we cannot guarantee that progress will never be lost. Keeping the Game updated and signed in to Google Play Games gives the best protection.
9. Advertising
The Game shows advertisements, including optional rewarded ads. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or websites they link to.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Game is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data or progress, or loss of virtual items. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or removes rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
11. Ending these Terms
You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the Game. Continuing to play after an update means you accept the new Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. If you live in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you may bring a claim where you live.
