Chitin: Idle Insect RPG · Last updated: September 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Chitin: Idle Insect RPG ("the Game", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you play. The Game is developed by an independent developer and published on Google Play.

2. Information we collect

When you sign in with Google Play Games, we receive your Play Games player ID, display name and profile picture. We do not receive your email address or your Google account password.

Game data we store on our servers. The Game uses Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Cloud Functions), operated by Google, as its backend. Linked to your Play Games player ID, we store:

Collected automatically by third-party services: device model and operating system version, anonymous usage statistics, crash reports, and your device's advertising identifier.

Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. We receive a confirmation of what was bought, never your payment details.

3. What other players can see

The Arena is multiplayer. Other players can see your display name or nickname, profile picture, trophies, league, season titles and the insect teams you set for the Arena. Your raid contributions may appear in raid rankings.

4. How we use information

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Third-party services

The Game uses the following Google services, which process data under Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy):

6. Advertising

The Game shows ads served by Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising identifier and device information to choose ads. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings.

7. Children's privacy

The Game is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Data retention and security

Game data is stored on Google Firebase servers, protected by Google's security measures and by access rules that limit what the app can read and write. We keep your data for as long as you play. Save backups are kept for a limited time so recent progress can be restored.

9. Your rights and deleting your data

You can ask us to show you or delete the data we hold about you at any time. Email us from any address and include your Play Games display name so we can find your account. Deleting your data removes your Arena profile, save backups and raid records; it cannot be undone. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law. For data held by Google itself, contact Google directly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are shown by a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
